Camogie
Club Kilrush Camogie Club was formed in 1967. Founder members were Kit & Mary Boggan, Bridie Tobin, Nancy McDonald, Peig Moore and Nancy Grennan also Margaret Whelan and Nancy O' Connor both of whom are gone to god. This club was named St. Brigid's after the patron saint of our parish.
1970 was perhaps the greatest year in the history of the club, when we won the County
Junior Championship beating Buffers Alley 3-0 - 0-0. The following year 1971 St Brigid's won the Intermediate Championship and went on to win three more county titles. The team enjoyed the fine coaching of Lar Butler and the late Martin Lancaster(team manager for about ten years) and Kit Boggan. The club can boast of having a number of county players over the years. Peg Moore was a
member of the Wexford senior team that won the All Ireland in 1969 and 1975. Bridie Fox
was a member of the Wexford junior team that won the Leinster Championship medal in 1974.
all Ireland runners up in 1972/1973; All Ireland senior medal in 1975.She also played for
Leinster in the Gael Linn Interprovincial Final in 1974. 1980 Intermediate County Champions.

Peg Moore. Kilrush won their first underage title in 2000, winning the under 12 Championship trained by Ann Lancaster.
Kilrush Camogie won their Second Title in June 2003.The under 10 Championship Trained by Aileen Kavanagh and Ellen Doran.
